i created my first livejournal in june of 2002. i was 22. i stayed there until 2017, then i joined the mass exodus to dreamwidth after lj was purchased by nefarious individuals. i created this journal in 2009, but for some reason i basically forgot about it. i had a couple other journals here, but i eventually abandoned them. fast forward to june of 2026. i am now 46. i decided to resurrect this journal, because i needed a place that was not facebook/instagram/what have you. i don't want to write a blog. i love substack, but i don't feel comfortable sharing things on that platform. i am just looking for something else. writing that is confessional, unpolished, raw, truthful, silly, even mundane. (i love posting lists, for instance.)
nowadays i live in a small college town in the midwest with my partner and our extraordinarily spoiled cat. i am unabashedly sentimental and highly introverted. i am also a voracious reader and book collector. i identify as an infj, enneagram type four, and highly sensitive (hsp).
my username was inspired by Joanna Newsom's first ep/album.
i think about the word "sonder" quite a bit.
